Greek Stoic teacher born a slave in Hierapolis in Phrygia, who studied under Musonius Rufus in Rome and, after Domitian expelled the philosophers, taught at Nicopolis in Epirus. He wrote nothing himself; his student Arrian recorded his lectures.
