What it is
This volume examines the Islamic structure of rights: what a person owes to God and to others, including parents, spouses, children, neighbours, community and humanity, as well as the rights of the self. The author treats rights as structural rather than optional, arguing that neglecting one part makes the whole system malfunction. Each right is presented with its mechanism, the consequence of neglecting it and a way to restore it. The book describes the book as linking the inner work of the earlier stages to daily life in family, community, work and a person's role as a trustee in the world.
